VGT (Vereniging Gasturbine), or Dutch Gas Turbine Association, is a trade association which was established in 1981, with the help of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Its goal is to initiate, encourage and support a broad range of activities, with the aim of strengthening the technological and commercial position of the gas turbine industry in The Netherlands, as well as enhancing and extending industrial activities and opportunities.
VGT's membership comprises: gas turbine manufacturers; manufacturers of components and systems; maintenance, overhaul and repair companies; consultancies; users and research bodies. VGT's members are active in virtually every possible application of gas turbine technology, including aviation, industrial, marine and cogeneration.
Advanced technology and the highest level of engineering and production capabilities at competitive prices are the major strengths of the Dutch gas turbine industry -- an industry which has a long-standing history and a strong reputation around the world.
