The Vereniging Gasturbine VGT, or "Dutch Gas Turbine Association", is a trade association for the gas turbine industry in the Netherlands. The association was established in 1981 with the help of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The main goal is to initiate, encourage and support a broad range of activities, with the aim to strengthen the technological and commercial position of this gas turbine industry.
VGT's membership comprises: gas turbine manufacturers; manufacturers of components and systems; maintenance, overhaul and repair companies; consultancies; users and research bodies. VGT's members are active in nearly every possible application of gas turbine technology, including aviation, industrial, marine and cogeneration.
Advanced technology, a high level of design and engineering expertise and superb manufacturing capabilities at competitive prices are the major strengths of the Dutch gas turbine industry -- an industry which has a long-standing history and a strong reputation around the world.
VGT acts as a focal point for international gas turbine manufacturers, suppliers, users and research organisations which express an interest in doing business with the association's members.
